Nothing could be sweeter than the NC Blueberry Festival, planned for Friday and Saturday, June 14-15, 2019 which pays homage to the area’s rich history of blueberry cultivation. Combining blueberries and tourism the NC Blueberry Festival Association aims to raise awareness of both the annual crop and the scenic backdrop in which it grows.

About 30,000 people attend the festival each year – that’s no small feat for Burgaw, where the population hovers right around 4,000 residents.

Visitors will enjoy two days of live music, a barbecue cook-off, recipe contests, a car show, a 5K run, a street fair and of course, lots of blueberries. Schedule performers include The Entertainers, Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot, Steve Owens & Summertime and the Band of Oz.
