Hit the streets of Hampstead for to celebrate the town’s most abundant catch, the spot fish. Hampstead is host to the NC Spot Festival each year offering a two-day event filled with fun, food and entertainment. This year, the annual event will be held Nov. 2-3, and organizers have lots to celebrate. The 2018 event was cancelled due to Hurricane Florence – giving the folks in Hampstead even more reasons to go big in 2019.

Guests are treated to a true Southern fried spot dinner featuring two spot, fries, coleslaw, hushpuppies and sweet tea, served from 11am to 6pm on Saturday and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets to relax and enjoy live entertainment followed by fireworks at 9pm on Saturday. For additional details, visit www.ncspotfestival.com.
